Climate change? Who Responsible for that?

Somebody said that climate change is a myth but somebody said it is a serious threat for human civilization. Climate change is a complicated case but the root of the problem is simply. It is about our perspective conducting our environmental after we made destruction directly or indirectly because of the pursuit of economic. My opinion, climate change is a threat and it is real.

In modern society, economic activities are for survival. How about traditional society? They regard the environment as a home. Home is a place where you can go back. So, traditional societies consider environment such the place to live and give them enjoyment. In modern society consider environment for struggling, sometimes they become greedy without preserve environment. Now, capitalist have accepted as a universal system, at the same time the environmental facing a degradation. Why? because capitalist make all things as a materials, that`s why multinational corporations have been operating in developing countries. Developing countries need foreign direct investment as an indicator of economic situation. But, it is costly especially for environment that we can`t repair with much money. So, it is never replaceable.

Now, we will see how international regime build a consensus for climate change mitigation and adaptation. The debate was never ending in term of responsibility between developed countries versus developing countries, that popularly known as common but differentiated responsibilities. The developed countries are powerful in international lobby to fight their national interest. But, for developing countries usually inferior and take it for granted without any good offer.

Post Kyoto Protocol will be change with the other protocol in Paris in December 2015. What you thoughts about it? For me, i`m not sure that the Protocol will be on our side (as a developing countries). International climate change cooperation show us the power in international politic, but with low commitment to save the environment.
