Watch Out, The Threats are Around You!
Nowadays, we live in critical
era. So many threats and those are actually harms our live as human being. I
swear, I do not want to make all of you scared of, indeed. Let me explain more
detail. First of all, war always happens as long as human live. The UN has been
built to promote peace, however it is not enough to prevent powerful countries,
specifically powerful politicians from their desire to reign. Realist paradigm
declared that “If we want to be peaceful, then prepare for war”. Later, it is
easy to make people ask question “how come?” On contrary, the idealist paradigm
has addressed that non-violence which is the best solution to stay a way from
war. Unfortunately, it is not as simple as that.
Some people
may say “No worries”. “We live in peace and harmony, why we should be worried
too much”. Very sadly, I have to say “Come on, we have to look around, we live
in a critical situation”. Secondly, the main threat is related to the degradation
of environment caused by human`s behavior. Anthropocentrism has stated that
high exploitation of environment would give illustration that the lack of
awareness to preserve environment. Then, the pursuit of economic interest is
the main reason behind the motive. After that, human creates disaster for
itself. There are two kinds of disasters that are natural disaster such as
flood, soil erosion, sea level rise, bad pollution, loss of biodiversity, and
lack of natural resources. Natural disaster as mentioned above will be
anticipated by the second disaster, social problems. The example of the
disasters are lack of agriculture land, outbreak the diseases, high mass
migration, and increasing depression society. Moreover, the most horrible threat
is the battle of natural resources followed by conflict, war and even of the bloodshed.
It is hard to say but it has already happen in some part in the world.
For me, the
poor people are high vulnerable risky apart of these threats. In normal
condition, poor people have to struggle to survive. They have to do anything
without benefit. What kind of benefit? For high and middle society class, they
would be easy to consume what they want. For instance, they may have private
vehicle then they buy fuel with subsidy. Then, their mobilization could be more
practice and easier. How about the poor people? They have to walk far away, not
only for working, but also to survive, such as bring water far from their home.
Absolutely, they cannot get subsidy of fuel, except they use public
transportation. Unfortunately, poor people who live in isolated area, they
would not get subsidy. Poor people are obviously lack of skills due to low
education. Then, when the natural resources are critical and degraded land,
they do not have access to improve their quality of live. As a result, it would
happen, they will stressful and easily influenced by evil conspiracy which created
by politicians who will never care about poor people`s interest. The biggest
question is “what kind of life?” The poor people are entangled absolute
poverty.
When the
price of food has increasing, the high and middle class people have to be able
to buy it. For the poor people, they will be hunger and die for the first time.
Besides that, they live in vulnerable area where is located near to the nature,
such as the sea and hill. When, the natural disaster happens, it would destroy
their life.
Finally,
humanity is the effective word to encourage this situation. There are many
human, but how the humanity? I feel bad when I have to say I see human but less
of humanity.
